How to Complete Ration Card e-KYC Online
There are two main ways:
Method 1: Using the Mera Ration App (Aadhaar-based)
- Download the Mera Ration 2.0 app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app and select your language.
- Tap on "Aadhaar Seeding" or "e-KYC".
- Enter your Aadhaar number and the Captcha.
- An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile.
- Enter the OTP and confirm. Your e-KYC will be updated.
Method 2: Through Your State's Food & Civil Supplies Portal
- Visit your state's official PDS portal (e.g., fcs.up.gov.in for UP, epos.bihar.gov.in for Bihar).
- Search for the "e-KYC" or "Aadhaar Linking" option on the home page.
- Enter your ration card number and registered mobile number.
- Follow the Aadhaar OTP verification as above.
Offline e-KYC at Ration Shop
If you don't have a smartphone or your mobile isn't linked to Aadhaar, visit your nearest fair price shop. The dealer will do your fingerprint-based e-KYC using the e-POS machine. This is free in most states.

What Happens If You Miss the Deadline?
Your ration card may be suspended, and you won't get free or subsidised food grains until you complete e-KYC and reactivate it.
